Jody Coulston harnesses the wonders of the world around us, inspiring and transforming us in profound ways. Jody aims to express the beauty of nature through her art and photography. She constantly searches for captivating compositions to capture on camera. Living in the Northwest, she is inspired by the region's rich landscapes, which evoke feelings of tranquility, grandeur, and wonder. As she hikes, bikes, and travels, Jody discovers endless sources of inspiration for her artwork.Learning at an early age to keenly observe and appreciate the intricacies of nature, Jody uses her camera to capture photographs as references for her paintings. She paints with palette knives and brushes to achieve an impressionist style. Possessing extensive experience in art, painting, and photography, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Colorado State University and an Associate of Arts in Commercial Photography from Colorado Mountain College. Jody has successfully owned and operated three design/art businesses and has collaborated with other designers to create unique art for individual clients. Today, she is a professional studio artist and art teacher. “My art is a quiet meditation on the beauty and wonder of God’s creation. Each painting is inspired by the sense of awe I feel in nature’s presence—whether it’s the gentle rise of mist over water, the golden light of dawn, or the intricate design of a single bloom.” -- Jody Coulston To shop for prints of Jody's photography in various sizes and materials, click HERE.
