Cell phones, email, and social media have radically changed how we communicate with one another. Before this technology, most people communicated with family and friends thru letters. Every day, people awaited the mail hoping for a precious letter from a friend or loved one. Receiving an envelope can spark curiosity, anticipation, and suspense. The idea and the image of the envelope is explored through inking and printing envelopes onto paper and using these prints as inspiration and raw material for collage.
