Atlanta-based artist, Stacie U. Rose uses painting, printmaking and collage techniques to construct works exploring the relationships between objects, forms, color, nature and structure. Her abstractions are informed by the interconnection between organized systems of nature and the human built environment. Using gestural marks combined with geometric lines and repeatable patterns, she explores a visual and visceral edge, where opposing forces strike balance. Stacie has shown work at Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, The Zuckerman Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art Georgia, Lamar Dodd School of Art, and Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art. Her work is included in corporate and private collections around the country. Projects include large scale paintings in CODA Tech Square, MARTA Arts Center Station, and State Farm Arena. She earned a BFA from Pratt Institute in 1990 and has lived in Atlanta since 2008.
