Edreys Wajed is a Buffalo-born multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, illustration, jewelry design, music, and public art. Raised in a creatively driven family of makers, he developed an early fluency in craftsmanship and storytelling that continues to shape his visual language. His practice reflects a deep investment in community, identity, and cultural memory, expressed through bold mark-making and a distinctive sense of rhythm. Wajed holds degrees from SUNY Buffalo State and the University at Buffalo, where he earned an MFA as an Arthur A. Schomburg Fellow. He is widely known for co-creating Buffalo’s landmark public artwork The Freedom Wall and for co-founding Eat Off Art with his wife, Alexa—a creative agency centered on arts entrepreneurship and community empowerment. Across media, his work seeks to elevate lived experience and build connections through artistic expression.
