Rebecca Cassar (b. 1994) is a Maltese artist whose practice bridges abstract and representational art. From a young age, she nurtured a passion for painting, drawing, and art history, continually exploring new media and techniques to expand her creative language. In 2020, after earning a Master’s degree in Human Rights and working as a lawyer, she chose to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming an artist. Rebecca’s work reflects a personal journey of transformation, self-discovery, and experimentation. Fascinated by the human condition, vibrant colour, texture, and the luminous qualities of gold leaf, she creates compositions that range from evocative abstract pieces to nuanced representational works. Her art invites introspection and emotional engagement, encouraging viewers to reflect on their own experiences.Since beginning her professional career, she has held three solo exhibitions—Enlightenment, Introspection, and Mewġa—and participated in several local collective shows.
