Teresa Zerafa Byrne is a British-Maltese mixed media abstract artist is based in London, working from a home studio. After returning to art as a mature student, she completed a BA in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art in 2015, followed by an MA in Art and Science at Central Saint Martins, graduating with distinction. Her practice explores the formation and fragility of memory within the context of personal histories, family, and relationships. In 2020, she received the Postgraduate Cass Art Prize for the Memory Skeleton series, exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery and later at Cass Art Islington. Her work has been shown at the Tate Exchange, the Science Museum, Wells Cathedral, and The Shard, among others. In 2022, they were commissioned to create Odyssey for AstraZeneca’s UK offices, and her piece Reordered featured in the 2023 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. In 2025, she was shortlisted for the Clyde & Co Art Prize.
