Carol Mickett and Robert Stackhouse are a collaborative art team. They make 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art focused on all things connected with water and the heroics of the natural world in its relationship to the health of our planet. They believe art can be a conduit to life-and-social change. Art invites people in and encourages them to contemplation and action. WEDU’s (FL Public Television) 8-part series, High Water Marks, “explores how their art and activism intersect to bring awareness and understanding to issues facing our environment.” Mickett and Stackhouse have been Artists-At-Sea, and their work is in museums and private collections. Developers and governments collect and commission their work. Mickett holds a Ph.D. in philosophy, was curator/host for her Our Town series at the Dali Museum and has won an award for her science conversations. Stackhouse has an honorary doctorate from USF and has his solo work is in museum collections around the world including the Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery in Washington, DC, and The National Gallery of Australia. Carol Mickett is currently featured in Avant-Garde: Remarkable Women of the Collection (2026-2027) at the Tampa Museum of Art.
