Stan Moeller has taught plein air painting workshops annually on Monhegan Island, in Maine, for the past 12 years as well as workshops in Tuscany and the South of France. He recently taught a Master Class En Plein Air Figure in the Landscape painting at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester where he taught oil and acrylics painting courses for 7 years. Moeller, who lives in York, Maine, won the Marine Environment Award for Best Depiction of Wildlife in its Natural Habitat in the 25th Annual International Marine Art Exhibition in 2004 at The Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport. In 2003, Moeller was awarded a month-long residency in Dinan, France (Brittany) by Les Amis De La Grande Vigne and he won Second Place for the Seascapes, Rivers and Lakes Challenge by International Artist Magazine (#25, June/July, 2002). Stan Moeller’s paintings have been featured in American Art Collector, Southwest Art and International Artist Magazine and his work is exhibited at Galleries along the Eastern seaboard.
