George Arnald (1763–1841) was a British landscape, history, and marine painter elected as an Associate of the Royal Academy (ARA) in 1810. Known for his oil paintings, watercolors, and topographical views, he exhibited over 200 works at the Royal Academy and British Institution. His most famous work is The Destruction of L'Orient at the Battle of the Nile (1827). Arnald was one of the well-known artists of the period who contributed a watercolor to the Haldimand Album, a collection of watercolors mounted in an album for Mrs George Haldimand, created between 1826-1828.
