Jody Fallon was born in 1971 and is a self-taught contemporary artist. A native of central Pennsylvania, he is known for his haunting figurative work and expressionist landscapes. Jody grew up exploring the dark fields, mountains, and forests near his childhood home ever yearning for a way to express the feelings of wonder, fascination, and solitude he had discovered.Jody joined the United States Marine Corps and traveled extensively throughout the United States and the Pacific Rim including, Hawaii, Japan, and Okinawa. All the while drawing on his experiences, yet still yearning for more.Between 1996 and 2000, Jody sought out three artists who he came to know and admire; Frank Frazetta, Paul Lehr, and Ron Wing. Through these artists and their work, he found the vehicle of expression that he had sought most of life. For the next several years, Jody alternated his weekends from studying the science fiction illustrations and sculpture in Lehr’s rural Pennsylvania studio, traveling to East Stroudsburg to study the fantasy illustrations of Frazetta in his museum along with spending treasured moments in Frank’s studio, to long nights developing his own philosophy of art and painting under the personal guidance of cartoonist and fine artist Ron Wing. For years, Jody followed this regimen creating his own personal art education all the while painting and establishing his own style in his work.Jody’s work has been exhibited extensively in galleries throughout Pennsylvania, including ten solo exhibitions at the Packwood House Museum in Lewisburg and group exhibitions at the Chadds Ford Gallery. Fallon has also exhibited in NYC at numerous galleries. Most recently he has been selected the last two years for inclusion in the prestigious IX Main Show, as well as participating in curated shows at Abend Gallery and IX Gallery’s online exhibition. His paintings are in many international private collections.Jody lives and works in scenic central Pennsylvania.
