Meg Turner (American, b. 1985) Meg Turner is photographer and printmaker living and working in New Orleans, Louisiana. Growing up between Boston, Massachusetts and Pont-Aven, France — a tiny coastal village in northern Brittany known for its mid 19th century artists - Turner has been living and working in New Orleans since 2009, drawn to the magnificent watery landscape and fiercely creative artist community.Turner works primarily in the antique, photographic medium of wet plate collodion, using chemistry and long exposures to achieve dreamlike photographs of her environment and community. Meg Turner’s photographs, prints, and installations have been exhibited at The Ogden Museum for Southern Art, The Contemporary Art Center of New Orleans, The New York Times, The Leslie Lohman Museum, and more. She has been an artist in residence at the Joan Mitchell Foundation and The Women’s Studio Workshop.
