Garnet’s non-objective painting explore the interplay of color, line and texture like that of a verbal conversation, except one with creative materials. Sometimes limiting color palette on purpose to allow for a focused situation.Born in Northern Ireland during the time of The Troubles, which ingrained in her that conflict does not define or dictate how one should think or feel. More importantly that external labels are less valuable than the internal ones. As a young adult, she moved to London for formal studies in design and embarked on a career working for a range of publishing and design firms. Married in 1989 to an American, and shortly thereafter moved to America and raised three children. All the while working in various creative outlets.Constantly intrigued by internal and external states of being, she was drawn into the study of yoga/meditation with Paul Muller Ortega. In 2012 she opened a Yoga studio and embraced the discipline. The combination of disciplines has continued to inspire her, and she works out of her studio in Atlanta, GA. Her work is represented by Muse & Co, Atlanta GA.
