Eri Sugimoto (born in Japan) is a ceramic artist based in Orange County, California. She movedto the United States in 2005 and relocated to California in 2006, where she began studyingceramics.Since 2012, Sugimoto has participated in juried art fairs and festivals. In 2022, she completed acommission of ceramic works for Katara Towers in Lusail (Doha), Qatar (via Artlink, UK). In2023, she presented a solo exhibition at the Clay Center of New Orleans (New Orleans, LA)and exhibited at the Irvine Fine Arts Center, as well as in the 21a Biennal de Ceràmicad’Esplugues Angelina Alós at Can Tinturé Museum (Barcelona, Spain). In 2026, her work isexhibited in Best of 2026 at the Ohio Craft Museum and Texas National at the SFA Art Galleries,Stephen F. Austin State University.Her work is in the collection of Laguna Clay Company and in private collections.
