Emotions are always heavy, so I push them out into the stories and artwork I create. Having this outlet has breathed life into the characters that you will see throughout my work. The mediums I choose become a part of my being; the pastels soft on my fingertips transferring to a page can be like the tingle a cool breeze sends across your skin on a warm day. The water soaking into a brush feels like the weight of your body easing into bed for a night’s sleep. The physical feelings translate the emotional feelings I have with every stroke of the brush, every swipe of the chamois. I push those feelings into the characters I create and they display it as their own, so you get a sense of life in them.
