Jared DeCelles (Gros Ventre / Assiniboine) is a stone sculptor based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His abstract work translates internal emotions and cosmic energies into physical forms, exploring themes of love, reflection, and the spiritual connection to each other and all things through Indigenous perspectives. Raised in the studio of his father, a renowned sculptor, Jared’s life has been defined by art. From selling his first work at the Heard Museum as a youth to assisting on monumental commissions, he developed a deep mastery of the medium. At the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA), he further expanded his repertoire by working for several master artists and gaining professional expertise in museum-standard preservation and exhibition design. A multi-award-winning artist, Jared has earned First Place and Best of Division honors at the SWAIA Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Museum Guild Art Market, and the Autry Museum. His work has been exhibited across the Southwest, Albuquerque Civic Plaza, the Albuquerque Sunport, and the Reno-Tahoe International Art Show. From the Heard Museum Shop to the City of Light Gallery in Las Vegas, Jared continues to push the boundaries of contemporary Indigenous stone sculpture.
