Barbara Tesslink is a self-taught artist based out of Santa Fe, NM. Her abstract paintings are brought to life with acrylics on artist canvas. Her creativity is cultured from life and experience and the need to express one's world in a form other than the spoken word.Her work is very much about process. There is an underlying visual order that gradually seems to emerge. Working Intuitively, she enters a realm of the unknown where there is more of a following than any real choice. Ideas spark with the addition of new layers, bring clarity to the emerging concept. Finding the right relationship of color, line and form, that is visually stimulating is her goal.Born in the Michigan, Barbara moved to Atlanta, GA when she was 21. There she spent most of her career as a self-taught graphic designer. Now she is fulfilling her life-long goal to paint full time in Santa Fe, NM.
