Jacqueline Ehlis is an artist, writer, founder and director of raven s.t.a.r.★, an artist residency offering invited artists both housing and studio space to create. Their work explores themes of the body, imagination, place, communication, exploration, and the transient nature of movement — the seven essentials that form the foundation of their practice. Currently based in Oregon, Ehlis splits their time between Portland and Central, Oregon, where they continue to develop their work and foster creative spaces for other artists. Ehlis' work has been curated into numerous exhibitions across a variety of platforms, including: • Color Made, UNLV Marjorie Barrick Mueum of Art, Las Vegas, NV • Into the Wood, Monica Setziol-Phillips and The Wood Cravers’ Collective, Lincoln City Cultural Center, Lincoln City, OR • Las Vegas Diaspora, Las Vegas Art Museum, Las Vegas, NV Curated by Dave Hickey • Unctuous Youth, Action: Space, Los Angeles, CA Curated by Steve Criqui (Group)
