Profile and Bio-data of Sathyaprasad Yachendra Sathyaprasad Yachendra was enchanted by the Himalayas in 2004 when he saw, for the first time, the first golden rays of the Sun dazzling on the snow clad mountains at the village Naylam in Tibet. The sight was ethereal which touched his inner self and created an inexplicable divine feeling in him. Instantly he felt the calling and since then he has been visiting the great ranges again and again with undiminished passion. They are, in fact, his inward journeys. So far, he made nearly twenty five trips and he says that at each time the mighty ranges looked differently, not because they have changed, but because he has been changing, his vision has been changing and his perspective towards life has been changing. He says that he has always felt humbled before the magnanimity of the divine ranges. With his philosophy of life to explore himself through the divine Himalayas and the medium of photography, he continues his tryst with both of them with total commitment and devotion to the extent that he shoots no other subject. He is a self taught photographer based at Hyderabad who took inspiration from masters like Ansel Adams, Galen Rowell and David Ward.
