Nathan Paddison is an Australian artist known for his bold, expressive style, and vibrant use of acrylic paint and mixed media. Nathan’s art recalls the Art Brut movement, reflected in his dynamic brushwork and emotive imagery rife with pop culture references. Largely self-taught and citing influences such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Pablo Picasso, and Cy Twombly, Nathan’s works carry an urban intensity innate to the contemporary cultural fabric. Nathan has exhibited across Australia, Europe, and Asia, and was honoured with the Kilgour Prize People’s Choice Award from Newcastle Art Gallery in 2021. His collaborative work with Joan Blond and select works will now be on exhibition with Nissarana Galleries until May 2026.
