Two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Mike Luckovich has been the editorial cartoonist with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for a quarter of a century. He’s been celebrated with the highest honors from the National Cartoonist Society, the National Journalism Awards, the Pulitzer Committee and others for his uncanny ability to capture the moment with sustained impact. As he has done his entire career, the artist hand-draws all of his cartoons. He once worked exclusively in black and white, but converted to color over the past two decades. He is especially conscious of the currency of his work: the importance of documenting the here and now with an illustration worthy of longer consideration. The Seattle native studied politics at the University of Washington, and later became the editorial cartoonist for the New Orleans Times -Picayune and later for the Constitution. Luckovich is nationally syndicated by Creators Syndicate and his work appears in Newsweek and The New York Times. We are excited to show a baker's dozen of Mike Luckovich’s original penworks as well as many enlargements, signed, squiggled on and numbered, of his most alluring creations.
