Born in North Carolina, artist Mark Abercrombie creates contemporary abstract paintings rooted in emotion, movement, and the pursuit of total creative freedom. Eleven of his paintings were exhibited in the penthouse residence of the late acclaimed architect Phil Freelon, where one piece was acquired by a producer of Iron Man. Mark’s exhibitions and work have been featured by The News & Observer and Indy Week in North Carolina, highlighting his growing presence in the contemporary art scene. His paintings are also regularly displayed in luxury hospitality and commercial environments, including Aloft Chapel Hill and Aloft Raleigh, as well as select restaurant partnerships in New England. In addition to private commissions and gallery representation, Mark collaborates with interior designers, real estate professionals, and collectors seeking statement-driven contemporary artwork for residential and commercial spaces.
