Karina Sztein (b. Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1971) is an Argentine visual and textile artist whose multidisciplinary practice is informed by her background in architecture. She graduated as an architect from the University of Belgrano in 1994 and later taught design in the university’s School of Architecture. Based in Buenos Aires, she is a member of the Asociación de Artistas Visuales de la República Argentina and the Centro Argentino de Arte Textil (CAAT). Through textile, mixed-media, and contemporary art practices, Sztein explores themes of memory, identity, transformation, and the relationship between inner landscapes and the natural world.In recent years, her work has been featured in major exhibitions and salons in Argentina, Uruguay, and the United States, including the Salón de Arte Textil and the 28 Bienal de Tapiz at the Museo Sívori, Art Expo New York, and Threads of Transformation at Miami Dade College. In 2025, she presented her first solo exhibition, Cuando el alma se encuentra con la raíz, at the Museo Jallpha Kalchaki in Salta. Her work is held in private collections in Argentina and abroad. That same year, she received an Honorable Mention at the Salón 3D Objeto / Escultura Textil and was included in the publication 100 Artistas Contemporáneas Argentinas (Editorial Gata Flora).
