Creola is an Italian artist whose work is rooted in emotion, color, and a deeply sensory relationship to the natural world. Guided by an instinctive and passionate way of seeing, she approaches art as a space where feeling takes precedence over cold rationality. Her practice is shaped by a desire to translate lived emotion into form, texture, and chromatic intensity. After attending the Altieri Moda e Arte academy, Creola explored a wide range of techniques and materials, including Fimo, resin, fabric, and leather, before finding her artistic identity in abstract painting with the palette knife. Her technique combines acrylic paint with structural paste, and at times oil paint, which she layers onto the canvas to create rich three dimensional surfaces. These raised compositions emphasize color, shade, and movement, which remain at the center of her work. Creola began developing her palette knife practice in 2020 as a way to express emotion through the pursuit of beauty. In 2021, she exhibited two works in Rome on Via Margutta, including one at Dantebus Gallery and another in the Artisticamente exhibition at Area Contesa Arte, where she was awarded first prize by the artistic jury. In 2022, she presented her first solo exhibitions in Rome, Cromat(er)ica at Area Contesa Arte and Colori in forma at the Vertecchi Flaminio Parioli exhibition space. Her work has since been shown in Italy and internationally, including in Better Life: Art Can Do It at the Museo del Mar in Santa Pola, Alicante, Spain. In 2023, she continued her research into color through the collections Frammenti, PolyChrome, and Monochrome, while participating in exhibitions such as Frascati in Arte and the International Art Biennial of the Castelli Romani in Nemi, where she received a Certificate of Artistic Merit. In 2024, Creola presented solo exhibitions at WarmtHotel in Rome and Cristiano Art Gallery in Cassino, as well as participating in the group exhibition L’arte della spatola in Tivoli. Her ongoing investigation of color expanded into dialogue with pop culture through her PANT1 collection. In 2025, her works were exhibited exclusively at the gourmet pizzeria Extremis in Rome, and she began collaborating with Toro Arte gallery in Sessa Aurunca. In 2026, through her continued collaboration with Toro Arte, Creola was selected as the exclusive artist for the gallery’s booth at Marbella Design&Art in Spain. During the fair, her work PANT1.1 Palette was acquired for permanent display by the Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo, marking an important moment in her growing international presence.
