Tim Tozer was born in 1969 in Portsmouth, UK. He attended the Winchester School of Art and the University of Ulster at Belfast, Northern Ireland. He moved to the U.S. in 1994 after receiving the Andy Warhol Scholarship for study at the New York Academy of Art. Tozer taught painting and drawing at Indiana University in Bloomington after receiving his MFA. Tozer moved to Minneapolis in 2002 and taught at Minneapolis College of Art and Design and Normandale Community College. He currently teaches painting and drawing at University of Wisconsin, Stout. Tim lives with his family in south Minneapolis.
