Tony Mhanna (b. 1993, Beirut, Lebanon) is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting and fine art photography. From an early age, he was drawn to sketching architectural forms and everyday objects, using drawing as both a creative outlet and a refuge during an emotionally complex childhood. Art became a way to navigate emotions and momentarily escape life's complexities. In 2024, Mhanna expanded his practice into painting, creating serene landscapes and swimming pool scenes inspired by memories of summer, comfort, and emotional calm. Through geometric reduction, luminous color, and minimalist compositions, his work presents idealized spaces removed from stress and distraction.Drawing from modernist minimalism, contemporary realism, and hard-edge abstraction, Mhanna uses color and space to evoke tranquility, inviting viewers into moments of stillness and ease. His paintings are conceived as visual sanctuaries, where harmonious colors and simplified forms create an atmosphere of comfort and calm. A recurring motif in his work is the parasol, a symbol of protection, shelter, and the power to transform empty spaces into places of comfort and belonging.
