Felipe Giménez (b. 1963, Mar del Plata, Argentina) is an artist whose work celebrates the poetry of everyday life through vibrant color, humor, and human connection. Before becoming a full-time painter, he worked for many years as a psychologist, an experience that continues to inform his artistic perspective. As Giménez says, “From my years in psychology, I kept the ear to look,” using his keen observation of people and their relationships to create scenes filled with warmth, imagination, and emotional depth. He often remarks that if he had been born in Patagonia, he might have painted the wind, but having grown up in Mar del Plata, he paints people and their circumstances.Inspired by the elegant simplicity of João Gilberto and the dreamlike constellations of Joan Miró, Giménez transforms ordinary moments into joyful visual stories. His paintings are known for their playful compositions, rich patterns, and optimistic spirit, bringing beauty and wonder to everyday experiences. Now residing in Sierra de los Padres, Buenos Aires Province, he has exhibited widely in Argentina and abroad, and his work is represented in public and private collections throughout the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
