One of Mud Island Art’s most popular artists Mikey Roberts is an Irish artist with a unique and original talent. He began painting in the early 1960’s and has spent the last decade as a full-time artist working out of his studio in Dublin and exhibiting locally in exhibitions associated with the Outsider Art movement. Over the years his work has evolved as he has developed a truly original style – giving birth to a genre called Hiberno Pop. His paintings simply ooze charm and character while combining a wonderful naive quality with a visual sophistication.
