Bio-notes: Anand Gadapa studied Master of visual Arts (Art History & Aesthetics) from M.S.U., Baroda in 2006 and Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting) from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad in 2002. He is presently teaching Art History & Aesthetics at College of Fine Arts, Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Hyderabad. He Gadapa has curated several important shows across the country between 2007 and 2015. In 2014, he authored the book ‘Art @ Telangana’, a compilation of 152 artists and 100 years of art in Telangana. In the year 2015, he organized an international seminar on relevance of public art-Rethinking Public Space: A Seminar on Relevance of Urban Art in Public in Hyderabad, in collaboration with Bordeaux (France). He contributed with numerous publications, Catalogue essays and Talks on Contemporary Art in India. As a practicing artist he participated in several group shows such as, ‘Tales of Love and Betrayal: A Modern Retelling of Ramayana featuring along with M.F.Husain and Nirmala Biluka show at Serindia Gallery, Bangkok, Thailand, 2011, ‘Baroda: Storytelling through Art’ at Serindia Gallery, Bangkok, Thailand, in the same year, Sacred Spaces, a curated show in New York in 2012. He was also featured as ‘Artist of the month’ on Saffron art website, April 2011. He was part of several group shows in New Delhi, Calcutta, Mumbai, Vadodara, Cennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, etc.
