Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, John McLeod graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi in 2001. At a young age, John was fascinated by Mesoamerican and Egyptian art, which informs and influences his work today. He creates forms and images with different shape relations, textures and materials, that can access the universally understood elements of mythology—our shared set of needs, questions and hopes—our desires for love, community and some form of spiritual connection and growth.
