Dawn Whitelaw divides her time between painting, both in the studio and on location, and teaching workshops. She is currently on the faculty of the Peninsula School of Art and the Portrait Society of America, where she holds the office of Vice Chairman. She was a featured instructor for the National Plein Air Conventoions in Nevada and California. During 2014 and 2015 she received six awards in national plein air painting events. In 2016 she was awarded Master status with the American Impressionist Society. In March of this year, she received the Master’s Award of Excellence award in the American Impressionist Society’s small works show in Costa Mesa, California.
