Jacques Louissaint is a pupil of Casimir Laurent. He was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on July 8, 1950. He started to paint in 1967 without any direction. His art blossomed in the early 70s, spurred on by his association with fellow artists and had his first breakthrough in Montreal, Canada, in 1973.
