Pascal Smarth was born in Haiti in 1966 and quickly became involved in the world of painting, inspired by his father, who was an amateur artist. He refined his skills at the Fine Arts Academy and established himself as a professional artist in 1991. Smarth has made a significant impact on the art world, exhibiting his work in Haiti, particularly at Galerie Nader, as well as on international stages. His contributions to Haitian art have been widely recognized, with his work featured in numerous prestigious art books. As noted by Gérald Alexis in "Peintres Haïtiens," Smarth's rigorous academic training has allowed him to evolve from surrealism to abstraction and ultimately to abstract figuration. You can browse his artwork at the Myriam Nader Art Gallery in New York!
