Deborah Kapoor is best known for her unconventional, mixed media paintings and wall installations about the distilled poetry within cultural markers. Her painted dimensional works have recently been recently exhibited locally at One Visual Art Center (Ellensburg), Kirkland Art Center, and Northwind Art Center (Port Townsend), ArtXchange Gallery, and Square Foot Art Basel Miami. Her work has been published in numerous publications including Fiber Art Now (September 2016), Surface Design Journal (Winter 2015/2016) and Encaustic in the Twenty-First Century (Ashley Rooney 2016), Kapoor taught at Columbia College (Chicago), College of DuPage, Harper College, and currently teaches at Bellevue College. She earned her Master of Fine Arts at the University of Delaware, and Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of North Texas.
