Stepping into nature has a way of silencing the mind. I am moved by the light, movement, and beauty that surround us daily. My recent paintings are an attempt to create the feeling of a quiet space. Through a mix of fresh, gestural marks and slow layers of paint I am trying to express a moment of appreciation and wonder. Liz grew up in Jackson, Mississippi. Watercolor lessons from her father instilled a love for creating at an early age and motivated her to study art at the University of Mississippi. She now lives and paints full time in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with her husband and three ever-inspiring children.
