Carolyn Damstra's paintings draw on elements of nature, light, and patterns combined with metaphors, symbolism and expression. Her extensive background in art history gave her the ability to transect different eras and styles. She exploits her freedom to go wherever her imagination and brush take her, uniting related themes and creating visual stories. Carolyn holds a BFA in Studio and an MA in Art History, both from Michigan State University.
