My artwork comes from a place inside that no one knows about, a place that only I can tap into. I grew up knowing something wasn’t right but was not diagnosed until my mid 30’s with Bipolar depression with audio and visual hallucinations and the only way I knew how to communicate what I was going through, what I was seeing and what I was hearing was art. When I started therapy as an adult I couldn’t explain what was going on in my head but I could put the images out there of what I was feeling inside. When I start an art project, it’s usually when I am in a manic episode and usually cannot stop until the artwork is finished regardless if is a couple hours or a couple days. The following artwork is what’s inside me.
