Eric Girault is world-famous, and the best living impressionist master from Haiti. In this curated selection of artworks from the 1980's to date, the artist combines poesy with painting to entice you to see (and feel) the beauty and colors of his magic island of Haiti and his world. The works depict the social issue of the humbleness, the poor and the oppressed, and the everyday life and the suffering of his people. At a very young age, Eric was already playing with paint, charcoal, crayon, and watercolor. More than 60 years later, Eric still paints regardless of his foggy vision. Painting for him is a poem in color. He doesn't follow school; he doesn't follow style, he follows his heart. Girault had several solo shows and participated in many international group shows. His works have been traveling all over the world. He participated in two Biennials in Sao Paolo, Brazil, one in La exposition de Las Americas in Mexico, and Santo Domingo. Many art lovers such as Nelson Rockefeller, Aristotle Onassis, Giscard d'Estaing, former president of France, and Reynold Mines have jealously collected his works.
