Omaha native Stephen Dinsmore received his BA from the University of Nebraska. The subjects of his paintings include landscape, still life, figures, and in his words, “things for which I have a great fondness”. Dinsmore draws inspiration from artists like Henri Matisse and Richard Diebenkorn, as seen in his expressive language of color, uncommon perspective, and loose, gestural style. His lively and sensuous handling of paint results in paintings which are fresh, happy, and playful.
