Through his work with synthetic forms and bright colors, and with an essential language, Agostino Iacurci is able to manage multiple layers of interpretation. This approach places his tales on the perennial threshold between innocence and artifice, serenity and catastrophe, on a magnetic tension that is the interpretative key to our very existence.
Since 2010, Agostino Iacurci has been part of several exhibitions in Asia, Australia, Europe and Latin America – with which he has explored themes as self-perception, uncertainty, imagination, and play. In 2011, he was part of the “Rebibbia on the wall” project, where he painted the courtyard of the maximum security area with the inmates. In 2013, he was selected to represent Italy in “Le Tour 13” in Paris. In collaboration with the Institute of Culture of New Delhi and India Star, he made the first monumental project at an Indian metro station. His work has been exhibited in Europe, USA, Brazil, Russia, India, Australia, Korea, Japan and Taiwan. He currently lives and works in Berlin.
