Heather Farrell was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. She has a Fine Arts Degree from The Art Institute of Boston, with an emphasis on drawing and painting. As a child she was inspired towards the arts, by cartoonist and illustrator Charles Schultz, dreaming of carrying on his legacy creating Peanuts cartoons after his passing. Her style has evolved from drawing and painting with an emphasis on serious subject matter to working in pastels and mixed media resulting in a looser, slightly more abstract body of work. She has always been passionate about art and design and continues to make the process of creating a priority in her life. "The creative process is an interesting thing and can be inconsistent yet exciting when it strikes. I never really know when I’m going to get inspired but I’m often drawn to nature and finding themes related to nature. After all, it is the one constant awe-inspiring and tragic and beautiful all at once and intertwined with us."
