Angel Oloshove (b. 1981) has recently held exhibitions of her ceramic and lustre sculptures at the Galveston Art Center, Art Palace, and Aqua Art Miami. Oloshove studied Painting and Drawing at California College of the Arts and subsequently worked as a toy designer in Tokyo. She began working in ceramics in 2007 in Baltimore, and in 2014 she became a studio technician at the Glassell School of Art at the MFAH in Houston, where she is currently an artist-in-residence at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. Her unique gradient "aura" glazes, bubble vessels, and fascinating lustre sculptures are respected locally and internationally.
