Davide Battistin was born in 1970 in Venice. In 1998 he attended the Academia Bel Arte in Venice. After his dissertation he won a year Fellowship at the Academia Bel Arte in Athens. A year later Davide was invited to the IV International Seminar of Contemporary Art in Ryn, Poland. For many years Battistin worked as a restorer in Venice, earning the chance to work in LA Sala del MAgiore Consiglio in the Palazzo Ducale, La Sculol dei Carmini, and many private Venetian Palazzi. Since 2004 he has hels a "pittura" class at Scuolo Internazionale di Grafica in Venice, and at the Accademia d'Arte Vittorio Marusso. His first solo show was held in Palazo della Prigione, in Venice, followed in 2001 by a solo show in New York. In 2004 Battistin's work was introduced to California, with a show in San Francisco, and was invited to exhibit in galleries in Sonoma and Carmel. He still lives and works in Venice, with a studio in Cannaregio, close to the Miracoli Church.
