Artist Bio Andrea Kreeger is a contemporary abstract artist based in Breckenridge, Colorado. She is currently working on multiple bodies of work. She is constantly evolving her process developing experimental techniques across her multiple mediums. She enjoys the organic alchemy of her process, carefully mixing her own pigments to create chemical reactions creatively joining art and science. Her current work is focused on the relationship that exists between color, movement and reflective light. Andrea enjoys the dichotomy of mixed mediums and the parallels that can be found mirrored in nature. She makes a point to include contrasting bodies in her practice in order to stay balanced and fulfilled as an artist. Her timeline differs from piece to piece, some are meticulously designed and planned whereas other creations are much more spontaneous and improvisational. Her recent collections have inspired her to find new way of viewing the world around her. Artist Statement As I come across opportunities to travel and experience different people, places, and cultures, I am inspired to create all kinds of art. My newest series represents the emotion and memories of my experiences. I absorb the color, texture, sounds, and tastes from my journeys and attempt to convey my experiences in my paintings. In this way, they'll be immortal, forever abstractly documented and every piece tells a story of its own. In my journeys, I appreciate the peaceful moments in nature, the solitude and silence of the wilderness, and the chaos of bustling cities. I look forward to continuing my personal evolution during my artistic journey. I am grateful for the opportunity to create with the chance that my creations might spark delight in others as well.
