Jay Vélez (Mexico City, 1985) takes as a starting point the need to understand space and the Universe, with the physical and emotional abilities of the bodies that inhabit them. Freedom and will are also recurring subjects in his work, both seen as vital parts that enable the inclusion of daily elements in a context where foreign sensations can be experienced. He has exhibited in museums and institutions such as Salon Acme, Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros and San Carlos Academy in Mexico City. He was a member of the FONCA Young Creators Program.
