A California native, Sandy studied Painting and Art History at the University of California at Santa Barbara. She is known for her expressive abstract landscape and figurative paintings that reflect the influence of the Society of Six, a group of early 20th century painters known for creating a modern California landscape style using expressive brushwork and vivid color. Sandy’s simple geometric compositions incorporate bold brush strokes and expressive fields of color.
