Born in Northern California and raised by artistic parents in Utah, Brienne Short has always held an affinity for the great outdoors. She was initially inspired by her father’s stained glass pieces and has translated the concepts of working with glass into creating organic-themed mosaic tile table tops. Self-taught and predominately inspired by nature, most of her works depict landscapes, wildlife, and plants. Brienne is currently a full-time whitewater river guide on the Colorado River, navigating her clientele through the awesome splendors of the Grand Canyon. When not on the river or camping in the deserts, she enjoys international travel, winter skiing, hiking in the mountains, and taking photographs of wildflowers.
