Adele Moore Yonchak holds a BA in Studio Art from Hollins University with additional coursework from Lorenzo de' Medici Art Institute in Florence, Italy. While her formal training and focus was in oil, Adele now primarily uses acrylic paint after discovering her technique of layering texture and color with its fast drying process suited her creative process. Adele enjoys keeping her subject matter familiar but with a unique point of view. Adele is attracted to abstracted landscapes and simple scenes illustrated in unique ways and her goal is to produce work that feels at home but in an unexpected way. Adele's approach of simplifying landscapes to their most distinctive forms allows the viewer to find their own sense of place within her work. Her signature trees often represent families and groupings and create a feeling of belonging. Adele lives with her husband and three children in Charlotte, North Carolina.
