John Tremblay (American, b. 1966) Often finding inspiration in missiles and airplane holding patterns, John Tremblay opts for more graphic shapes such as ellipses and squares when creating. Tremblay’s work creates relationships between color and shape and contrasts between positive and negative space, repeating shapes to create optical artwork of pattern and color while in turn creating energy and movement within his work. Tremblay’s work is included in the collections of the Fogg Art Museum at Harvard University in Massachusetts; the Fonds National d’Art Contemporain in France; the Cabinet des Estampes in Switzerland among participating in exhibitions throughout the world.
