California artist Grace Munakata is best known for her large-scale mixed media paintings that incorporate organic shapes and forms with vibrant fields of color and elements of collage. Grace’s paintings are influenced by nature, literature, memory, and life experience, and include varying degrees of abstraction, pattern, and imagery. Grace received a BA and MFA from the University of California, Davis, and also studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture in Maine.
