SEYMOUR FOGEL (1911-1984)Born in New York City, Seymour Fogel studied under George Bridgeman and Leon Kroll at the Art Students League and at the National Academy of Design. He served as an assistant to Diego Rivera while he was working on his controversial Rockefeller Center mural. Fogel learned the skill of mural painting from Rivera and executed several large-scale commissions for the Works Progress Administration and the Treasure Section of the Fine Arts.
